About Dott Chu *

Dott Chu is a transformational coach, certified hypnotherapist, author and founder of Authentic Intelligence. She helps creative leaders, founders and professionals develop the self-trust, clarity and courage required to realise their potential and bring their most meaningful ideas to life.

Her work is grounded in a powerful question:

What becomes possible when you stop allowing fear, conditioning and self-doubt to determine how far you can go?

A Life Shaped by Reinvention

Born and raised on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Dott grew up within a family restaurant business built through decades of hard work, resilience and community connection.

From an early age, she saw that success was rarely determined by talent alone. It was shaped by how people responded to uncertainty, related to others, trusted themselves and continued moving forward when life did not unfold as expected.

Her own career would become a study in reinvention.

Over more than two decades, Dott built a successful corporate career spanning music, video games, media, technology, sales, leadership and people development. She worked with globally recognised organisations including Warner Music Australia, Ubisoft, PLAION and Channel 4, as well as in professional environments connected to artists, celebrities, major entertainment franchises, senior executives and Premier League football.

At Warner Music, Dott worked at the forefront of a critical transformation in the music industry, helping artists and releases navigate the early growth of digital streaming.

She later spent approximately a decade in the video game industry, managing major national retail accounts, forecasting multimillion-dollar launches and developing commercial strategies for some of the world’s most recognisable entertainment brands.

Her career demanded clear thinking, commercial acumen, influence, negotiation and an instinctive understanding of what motivated people.

Yet beneath the strategies, sales targets and high-profile launches, Dott became fascinated by something far more human.

The Hidden Patterns Beneath Success

Dott noticed that the most talented person in the room was not always the one who progressed the furthest.

Highly capable people could remain trapped by perfectionism, self-doubt, fear of judgement or the belief that they needed permission before taking their next step.

Others achieved everything they had worked toward, only to discover a painful truth: external success did not automatically create confidence, fulfilment or freedom.

Behind impressive careers and carefully constructed lives, many people were privately asking:

Why do I still feel as though I am holding myself back?

Dott recognised aspects of this pattern in her own life.

Although she could confidently represent global companies, negotiate with major retailers and advocate for other people, finding and trusting her own voice had been a more personal journey.

Like many high achievers, she had learned how to be capable, responsible and adaptable. She had not always learned how to stop second-guessing herself, honour what she wanted or trust the person she was becoming.

The cost of that disconnection could be subtle.

It appeared in the ideas left unexplored, the decisions delayed, the truth softened and the opportunities quietly avoided because taking the next step felt too risky.

That realisation became a turning point.

From Curiosity to a Calling

Determined to uncover why intelligent, ambitious people could remain limited by invisible patterns, Dott immersed herself in psychology, neuroscience, emotional intelligence, leadership, human behaviour, hypnosis, nervous-system regulation and transformational coaching.

She became a certified Rapid Transformational Therapy practitioner, training in the approach developed by Marisa Peer. She later qualified as a ProCoach, incorporating coaching psychology and neuro-linguistic programming into her work.

Her wider professional development has included programs and workshops led by respected teachers and practitioners including Dr Joe Dispenza, Dr Brian Weiss, Esther Perel and Dr Bessel van der Kolk.

But her inquiry did not stop with conventional psychology or coaching.

Dott became increasingly curious about the deeper mysteries of consciousness, spirituality and the relationship between the mind, body and human experience. She explored Traditional Chinese Medicine, Eastern philosophy, somatic practices, energy-based approaches and ideas associated with quantum physics and quantum healing.

Rather than treating these fields as competing explanations, Dott became interested in the questions connecting them.

How can an experience from the past continue to influence the body in the present?

Why can a person consciously know that they are safe, yet still feel an instinctive physical response to visibility, conflict, intimacy or change?

How do beliefs, emotional memories, relationships, environment, physiology and meaning interact to shape a person’s health, behaviour and perception of what is possible?

These questions led Dott towards a more integrated, biopsychosocial understanding of transformation.

She began to see that a person could not always be understood through a single lens. Biological processes, psychological experiences, relationships, cultural conditioning, physical environments and spiritual beliefs could all influence how someone felt, responded and made sense of their life.

The deeper she explored, the clearer one truth became:

Exploring the Mind-Body Connection

Through hypnotherapy and consciousness-based transformational work, Dott has supported clients to uncover emotional memories, associations and protective patterns they believed were continuing to affect them psychologically and physically.

Some clients have reported surprising changes in long-standing physical sensations, sensitivities or reactions after exploring the deeper emotional experiences connected to them.

In certain cases, clients have described changes in responses they had previously understood as allergies or physical intolerances. Dott does not position this work as medical diagnosis or treatment, nor does she promise that a particular physical condition can be reversed.

Instead, these individual experiences have strengthened her interest in the complex and sometimes hidden relationship between the nervous system, subconscious beliefs, emotional memory and the body.

Her approach invites people to remain curious about what their symptoms, patterns or protective responses may be communicating, while continuing to seek appropriate medical and professional care where required.

For Dott, quantum healing is not about making miraculous promises or rejecting science. It is an exploration of consciousness, possibility and the ways observation, expectation, meaning and inner experience may influence how people relate to themselves and their bodies.

She remains interested in the emerging conversations between neuroscience, trauma research, epigenetics, consciousness studies, Eastern medicine and quantum theory, while recognising that these disciplines do not always share the same language, methods or conclusions.

Her role is not to claim certainty where mystery remains.

It is to help people ask better questions, uncover what has been hidden and develop a more compassionate relationship with their own human system.

Dott began practising hypnotherapy in 2017 and started working with coaching clients in 2020 alongside her corporate career.

For several years, she moved between two worlds.

In one, she managed commercial priorities, sales forecasts, major clients and organisational expectations. In the other, she sat with people as they uncovered fears, beliefs and experiences that had quietly influenced their lives for years.

Gradually, the connection between these worlds became impossible to ignore.

The same patterns influencing a person’s private life often appeared in the way they led, negotiated, created, communicated and made decisions professionally.

A fear of rejection could become chronic over-preparation.

A childhood need to keep the peace could become difficulty setting boundaries.

A belief that visibility was unsafe could become hesitation around leadership, self-promotion or bringing an original idea into the world.

What appeared to be a productivity problem, confidence problem or strategy problem often had deeper roots.

By the end of 2023, Dott made the courageous decision to leave the security of corporate life and devote herself fully to coaching, transformation and the exploration of human potential.

It was not simply a career change.

It was the reclamation of a path that had been quietly revealing itself throughout every chapter of her life.

Choosing a Different Path

How Dott Helps People Transform

Dott’s work is trauma-informed and nervous-system aware, combining deep transformational processes with practical self-leadership.

Rather than focusing only on surface-level performance, she helps clients uncover the beliefs, emotional patterns and protective responses influencing how they lead, communicate, decide, create and relate to others.

Her approach draws upon:

  • Transformational coaching

  • Rapid Transformational Therapy and hypnosis

  • Emotional intelligence

  • Coaching psychology and NLP

  • Nervous-system literacy

  • Mindset and behavioural change

  • The biopsychosocial perspective

  • Somatic and consciousness-based practices

  • Spirituality and selected Eastern wisdom traditions

  • Explorations of quantum healing and human potential

Dott does not believe that every challenge can be reduced to mindset.

Sometimes a person understands exactly what they need to do, yet their nervous system continues to register the next step as dangerous.

Sometimes a pattern is not a failure of motivation but a protective response built during an earlier chapter of life.

And sometimes what appears to be procrastination, perfectionism or self-sabotage is an intelligent survival strategy that has simply outlived its purpose.

Dott helps clients uncover these hidden dynamics without shame, release what is no longer serving them and build the inner safety required to choose differently.

The People She Works With

Dott’s clients have included founders, creative directors, consultants, managers, project leaders, professionals within media and creative industries, and emerging leaders navigating complex workplace environments.

They are often intelligent, ambitious and self-aware people who have already accomplished a great deal.

Yet they sense that something is preventing them from fully stepping into their next level.

Some are preparing to launch a meaningful idea, step into greater leadership or make a critical career decision. Others want to communicate more confidently, establish stronger boundaries, trust their judgement, stop overthinking or become more visible without feeling they must perform as someone they are not.

Many have already read the books, attended the courses, tried traditional coaching or spent years understanding themselves intellectually.

The problem is rarely a lack of information.

The challenge is turning what they know into a new way of being, choosing and responding.

Dott helps clients identify what is keeping them stuck, release outdated patterns and develop the self-trust required to move forward with greater clarity and conviction.

The result is not simply another insight.

It is the capacity to think, communicate, create and lead differently.

Reclaiming Human Intelligence in the Age of AI

Dott is also the author of The Great AI Awakening: Reclaiming Your Authentic Intelligence in an Artificial Age.

The book explores one of the most critical questions of our time:

If intelligence is no longer uniquely human, what will make us truly irreplaceable?

Her answer is not to fear technology or attempt to compete with it.

It is to reclaim the powerful human capacities that technology cannot replicate: self-awareness, emotional intelligence, intuition, imagination, creativity, discernment and meaningful connection.

Dott believes the rise of artificial intelligence is exposing something that has remained hidden for too long.

Many people have been trained to prioritise external information while doubting their own judgement. They have learned to follow proven formulas, fulfil expectations and seek constant validation, while becoming increasingly disconnected from the wisdom required to create an original life.

We have unprecedented access to information, yet many people feel more uncertain about themselves than ever.

For Dott, this moment is not only a technological revolution.

It is an invitation to awaken.

The Wisdom Reclamation Process™

Dott is the creator of the Wisdom Reclamation Process™, an original framework developed through more than two decades of observing, studying and guiding human potential.

The process helps people recognise the conditioning shaping their choices, reconnect with their authentic intelligence and apply that wisdom to how they live, lead, create and contribute.

It brings together five distinctly human capacities:

  • Mindset

  • Emotional intelligence

  • Embodied knowing

  • Intuition

  • Creativity

The process is designed to move people beyond information and towards lasting, practical transformation.

Because knowing what needs to change is not the same as feeling safe enough, supported enough or courageous enough to change it.

A More Human Way to Lead

Through Authentic Intelligence, Dott brings together her experience in business strategy, psychology, coaching, leadership, spirituality and human transformation.

Her work bridges worlds that are too often separated: strategy and intuition, science and spirituality, performance and wellbeing, ambition and inner safety.

She believes people should not have to choose between being successful and being themselves.

Today, Dott works with individuals and organisations seeking more authentic, emotionally intelligent and human-centred ways of leading.

She is particularly passionate about supporting creative leaders, founders and changemakers who know they are capable of more and are no longer willing to shrink their ideas to fit what already exists.

Her mission is clear:

To help people realise their potential without losing themselves in the process.

The future will not belong solely to those with the most powerful technology, the loudest voice or the most impressive credentials.

It will belong to those who know who they are, trust what they bring and have the courage to use it.
